2019 was an inflection point for PACE in Texas, with project closings totaling more than the three prior years combined. In 2020, local governments adopting PACE programs surpassed 50 – representing more than 60% of the state’s population. Despite COVID-19 challenges impacting the economy, property owners continue to see value in using budget-neutral/cash-flow positive PACE financing to reinvest in their assets, which creates jobs for contractors and conserves energy and water resources.
Individual leadership exhibited by this Texas PACE Champion and Texas PACESetters will ensure the continued growth of PACE financing as a preferred low-cost, long-term funding option for energy efficiency, water conservation and distributed energy projects across the state.

It’s about the ‘why’ that drives us. We’re in this together, and now more than ever, we need to help create new economies and inspire environmental benefits for communities.”
The AACOG Regional PACE Program, recognized with the NADO 2020 Impact now serves four cities and four counties within AACOG and continues to grow. Texas PACE Authority is honored to be part of this strategic partnership with AACOG.
