Texas PACE Authority is pleased to announce the closing of the first commercial office building TX-PACE project in Travis County. Built in 1985, Executive Oaks is the headquarters of Softex, a security-focused software company.
“The first commercial office building and minority-owned PACE project in Travis County demonstrates the economic and environmental benefits of the Travis County PACE program. This project enabled almost $300,000 in new investment as the building will be updated with energy saving improvements, including solar, that will pay for themselves. It will also save over 188,000 KWh worth of electricity per year and will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 97.98 tonnes. It’s a win-win for Softex Inc., Travis County and the environment” –Brigid Shea, Travis County Commissioner, Precinct 2
“C-PACE was ideal for the type of improvements that this property owner was looking to make. We were able to identify a solution to finance this comprehensive energy efficiency and renewable energy project that will allow it to pay for itself and free up more of their capital to focus on growing their business,” said Steve Brown of Greenworks Lending.
TX-PACE financing is a valuable financial tool in building improvement projects. TX-PACE allows for efficiency upgrades that don’t meet traditional payback time frames, allowing the building owner or developer to improve the building while preserving capital for other business needs. For more information, visit the Texas PACE Authority website at https://texaspaceauthority.org, or email admin@texaspaceauthority.org.
