TPA Selected to Administer San Antonio’s PACE Program

AACOG’s leadership is forward thinking in service to its member local governments’ regional clean air and economic development needs.  PACE is a great tool for the region’s clean air and economic development commitments, and TPA is honored to be part of AACOG’s initiative. To date, 8 local government members of AACOG have joined its regional PACE program administered by TPA.

In 2009, the City of San Antonio (COSA) Office of Sustainability testified on the first Texas PACE statute and 10 years later the Office included PACE as a strategy in COSA’s Climate Action Plan. PACE was also one of the Office of Sustainability’s goals when COSA was selected as one of 25 cities in the American Cities Climate Action Challenge (Bloomberg Philanthropies in partnership with NRDC).  TPA is grateful for over a decade of PACE leadership from the Office of Sustainability.

The 2020 effort to adopt COSA’s PACE program was led by the Office of Economic Development.  TPA is working with AACOG and COSA’s Economic Development Office and Sustainability Office to provide education, outreach and training.  To arrange for your organization’s members to learn more about COSA PACE, contact admin@texaspaceauthority.org.
